The Girl in the Radiator

“The Girl in the Radiator” from David Lynch’s 1977 film Eraserhead

There has never been any other movie like Eraserhead. It’s a dream world, a nightmare vision, that draws us in, even though we don’t always understand what’s going on. It takes itself completely seriously, never laughing at itself or attempting to elicit laughter from the audience. Instead of being “camp,” it is somehow elevated into the realm of high art. One of my all-time favorite movies.
