The Wedding Feast at Cana (1563) by Paolo Veronese
As paintings go, The Wedding Feast at Cana is enormous, the largest painting in the Louvre museum in Paris. It was painted by the Italian painter Paolo Veronese (1528-1588) and depicts the story in the Bible of Christ turning water into a wine at a wedding banquet, his first miracle of seven as recounted by the Gospel according to John. Christ is in the exact center of the painting, with dozens of people around him at a long rectangular table.
